One afternoon, three activities

Children are divided into three groups, mainly by age, and rotate through the different activities during the afternoon.

Stories and drama

Drama develops concentration, listening, speaking, social skills and language. Using familiar children’s stories, such as The Vain Little Mouse or The Colour Monster, we will create scenery, costumes and everything else that goes into a children’s play.

Dance and choreography

Dance supports children’s physical, mental and emotional development. It helps build balance, coordination, concentration and memory. We will learn to dance to pop, rock and roll, electronic and folk music.

Games and sport

Games help children discover teamwork, tackle challenges and learn to persevere. They will play traditional games such as capture the handkerchief, drop the shoe, skipping and statues, and try sports including football, athletics and basketball.

Wednesday afternoons for TPS too

Our youngest children can now stay on Wednesday afternoons. They remain in their own classroom, with a member of staff dedicated to their group, with their naps and rest times respected throughout.

As well as having lunch at school and enjoying free play outdoors, they take part in three age-appropriate workshops:

Movement and motor skills

Obstacle courses, tunnels, age-appropriate bikes…

Sensory play and exploration

A sensory table to explore light, movement and shapes, plus modelling dough.

Arts and crafts

Creative projects based on a different theme each term.

Withdrawal terms

If a child withdraws early, the current month remains payable in full.
